RV Mahaythi Cruise

Pleasantly cruise with the RV Mahaythi to travel into the Twante, small bustling area in Delta region, where historically reputed clay pottery is located. You can see the Delta Region, native villages, and daily of local people and return back to Yangon in the early afternoon.

Mahaythi, the Queen was repaired and reshaped using Thingan wood and teak woods from old barge carrying rice, sands and salts around the delta region, is a fleet with unique concepts differed from other barges on the river, includes an air-conditioned lounge and dining area that is inspired by turn of the century colonial architecture. It can accommodate up to 20 clients for dinning. Below deck could also accommodate 4 to 10 passengers in the relaxation style.

Itinerary:

07:30: After breakfast at hotel, pick up by shuttle arranged by RV Mahaythi to jetty.

08:00: Depart from Yangon viewing Scenic River & rural life, fishing along the cruise until Twante, destination to be explored by trishaw or horse carts where pottery making is still living art.

09:30: Arrival at Twante. Historic Shwesandaw pagoda, bustling & intact local market of Twante and especially pottery making cottages are main attractions for every passenger. Escorted English-speaking guide from cruise will assists throughout the sightseeing for your ultimate discovery & memorable journey.

12:30: Depart back to Yangon. Lunch will be served on board. Leisure on board.

14:30: Arrival at jetty.
