Itinerary
Yangon – Heho – Inle Lake
Day 1: Morning transfer to airport for flight to
Heho. Upon arrival, drive journey through beautiful
landscape of Shan state towards Inle Lake,
transfer to hotel, located on the Lake by motorized boat.
Check-in at hotel. Enjoy the boat excursion on Inle Lake
–

dotted with floating vegetation and fishing canoes, to which
scenic high hills provide the perfect backdrop”
See the lake's unique "leg rowers" –Intha people
row standing up with one leg wrapped around an oar. Visit
Phaung Daw Oo pagoda, the holiest religious site in Shan
State. See traditional handicrafts-silk weaving on wooden
handlooms and a blacksmith shop. Pass endless floating
gardens, where fruits and vegetations are grown. Stop at
Ngaphe Kyaung monastery which is famous for its "jumping
cats". Return to hotel on the moment of beautiful sunset.
Overnight stay at hotel on the lake.

NB: When Inle Festival Tour is
extended from other parts of tour, you can come directly
from there, and depart to Yangon at the end. Vice visa,
when Inle Festival Tour is commenced from Yangon, then
you can continue directly to other destinations by
flight.
Inle Lake
Day 2: Breakfast at hotel. Full day boat excursion
around the Lake for most magnificent procession of Phaung
Daw Oo Pagoda festival –
“The most picturesque procession of royal barge carrying
sacred Buddha statues, from main shrine, located on the
center of lake to the town by passing through many villages,
in which one can participate to observe how the barge is
pulled by numbers of small boats, powered by hundreds of
leg-rowers of Intha tribe”
In the afternoon, visit rarely- known site of Inn Dein
where certain hundreds of ancient brick stupas and pagodas
dated back to 17th centaury. At the end of day, sunset over
the lake from hotel's terrace. Overnight stay at hotel on
the lake. (B)
Inle- Mine Thauk- Inle
Day 3: Breakfast at hotel. Transfer by boat to the
village of Mine Thauk on the Eastern Shore of Inle
Lake. (If on market day - visit the market in Mine Thauk).
Start trekking to Mine Thauk Monastery. Walk through this
very scenic village. Magnificent overview on the Inle can be
enjoyed. Afternoon tour comprises village’s explorations
around Inle Lake on the festive moment by boat and walking.
Return to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel. (B)
Inle- Heho- Yangon
Day 4: Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfer to
Heho for fly back to either Yangon or other destinations.
