Day 1- Tuesday/ Saturday
Bagan (Ayeyar jetty)
In the morning, you are transferred to the Ayeyar Jetty
and board the RV. Pandaw II. Depart from Mandalay and cruise
all day. Lunch, dinner and overnight on the RV Pandaw II.
Day 2 – Friday/ Sunday
Villages
In the morning, after breakfast, visit Thein Gone
Village, situated just 10 km south of Pakokku. The village
was established just 50 years ago on the fertile river plain
close to the great River. Everyone in the village is a
farmer and the main crops are corn, peanuts, tobacco and
small areas of paddy. There is a pleasant Buddhist monastery
with 5 monks and over 25 monastery boys and a state-run
village school with 4 teachers, but they commute from nearby
Pakokku. Lunch will be served on board. In the afternoon,
visit Yandabo, a typical river village specialize in Pot
making, where the peace treaty of first Anglo-Myanmar war
was signed on 24 Feb 1826. Cruise up along the legendary
Ayeyarwady River. Overnight still on board. |
