Itinerary
Day 1: Depart in the morning to Mine Thauk
village by boat. Start trekking from Mine Thauk to Htinet
village of Paoh people passing through Magyigone, Minekhot,
PanPyin, Tatgyi and Donethakhut villages for about 5 hours.
Most of the trek route is narrow up hill, it is rather
difficult trek however provides great views on the
Nyaungshwe plain with the lake. Lunch at Htinet village
monastery and continue trek to Kyauktalone village of Paoh
people for about 2 hours where the car is waiting. Dinner
and overnight stay at monastery. (L- D)
Day 2: Simple breakfast. Depart by car to
Kakku Pagoda for about an hour drive. This place with such
pagodas is very impressive with beautiful 2548 pagodas
believed to have been built since 307 BC and two old bronze
ringing bells. Continue drive to Taunggyi for about 2 hours.
Transfer back to Inle Lake. (B)
