Itinerary
Day 1: Depart from Kalaw in the morning about 8:00
and after 2 & 1/2 hours walking distance, through small
ranges with tea-leaf and cheroot-leaf plantations, approach
to Ywar Thit village of Danu people. Then proceed to Tar Yaw
village of Palaung people. TarYaw village is reputed for its
long houses of old style Palaung tribe. The long houses have
six or eight Palaung families stay together. In the house,
hand-made weaving can be seen. Proceed to view point with a
small shop for picked lunch. Enjoy beautiful sceneries and
panorama from view point. Some few time for rest after
lunch, and enjoy the sunset time at village. Dinner and
overnight stay at Tar Yaw village. Total trekking hours are
about 5 hrs for the whole day. (L- D)
Day 2: Simple breakfast. Depart from Tar Yaw
village in the morning about 8:00 and after 2 hours walking
distance, approach to Hin Khar Gone & Myin Sai village. Then
proceed to Myin Thar village for lunch. After lunch,
continue to Nang The Le Thee village for about 1 hour. On
the way, visit villages of Paoh and Danu people. Dinner and
overnight stay at Nang The Le Thee village. Total trekking
hours are about 6 hrs for the whole day. (B- L- D)
Day 3: Simple breakfast. Depart from Nang The Le
Thee village in the morning about 8:00 and after 3 hours
walking distance, approach to Kone Hla village where picked
lunch can be taken. Potatoes, garlic, and some paddy fields
may be seen on the way. After lunch, proceed to Pattu Pauk
village and Htee Thein village for 3 & ½ hours. Dinner and
overnight stay at monastery in Htee Thein village. Total
trekking hours are about 6 hrs for the whole day. (B- L- D)
Day 4: Simple breakfast. Depart from Htee Thein
and for the whole morning for walking about 5 hours,
approach to Indein village on the western bank of Inle Lake.
On the way, villages of Paoh and Intha people are
interesting for their cheroot-leaf plantation fields. Before
proceeding by boat into Inle, visit to rarely- known site of
Indein where certain hundreds of ancient brick stupas and
pagodas dated back to 17 centaury. Transfer to hotel on the
lake. (B)
