Itinerary
Mandalay- Thibaw
Day 1: In the morning, depart from Mandalay by
land driving to Thibaw (200km) pass through the magnificent
Shan State especially old colonial town reputed for its
botanical garden, Maymyo (PyinOoLwin). In the early
afternoon, arrive to Thibaw, visit the town and overnight
stay at hotel in Thibaw.
Trekkings at Thibaw
Day 2: After breakfast, boat trip along
Doathtawady River for 1:30 hours and continue towards to
hilly part of route by trekking; there are Shan tribal
villages are still intact, by their natural beauty. Then,
proceed to famous Bawgyo pagoda, and return back to hotel in
the later afternoon. Overnight stay at hotel in Thibaw. (B-
L)
Trekkings at Thibaw
Day 3: After breakfast, start trekking route
toward Palaung tribe village, reputed as tea-leaf
cultivations, for 2 to 3 hours, and continue to Palay tribal
village another 2 hours, then return back to Thibaw.
Overnight stay at hotel. (B-L)
Thibaw- Maymyo (PyinOoLwin)-
Mandalay
Day 4: After breakfast, drive back toward
Mandalay, passing again world famous Goaktwin, deep valley
to descend, and visit botanical garden, colorful central
market, and water fall in Maymyo (PyinOoLwin) before going
to Mandalay. In the late afternoon, arrival to Mandalay to
enjoy panoramic sunset from Mandalay hill. Overnight stay at
hotel.
